FOIA Request to Village of Theresa Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability in local government affairs, we at Fond Du Lac Times have sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Village of Theresa. The request, sent under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., specifically asks for a list of new voters who registered on Election Day, November 5, 2024.
The importance of this information cannot be overstated. As a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage, we believe that access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. This includes holding public institutions accountable and ensuring transparency for the benefit of the public.
