FOIA Request to City of Fond Du Lac Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and public accountability, we at the Fond Du Lac Times have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for a list of new voters who registered on Election Day, November 5, 2024.
Our goal is to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs. Access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities, which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.
We believe that as a media organization involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, we are eligible for a fee waiver. We will continue to keep our readers informed about this and other matters of public interest.
