Congressman Glenn Grothman has expressed his condolences upon the passing of Pope Francis. In his statement, Grothman acknowledged the significance of Pope Francis as "the first Pope from the Americas," noting the widespread mourning over the loss of an influential Christian leader.

Grothman extended his prayers to the Cardinals, who are tasked with electing a new leader for the Catholic Church. "Our prayers are with the Cardinals as they choose a new leader of the largest Christian denomination in the world," he stated.

Addressing those in mourning, Grothman offered his sympathies: "For all who are mourning, my heart goes out to you. Let us honor his legacy by reaffirming our commitment to Christ. May Pope Francis rest in peace."
