Rep. Glenn Grothman, a Republican congressman who has consistently won reelection since 2014, recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing international violence, the ongoing government shutdown, and concerns over justice system investigations.
On November 3, 2025, Grothman expressed concern about violence targeting Christians in Nigeria: "I am shocked by the horrific attack on Christians in Nigeria. This violence has been severely underrecognized, and far more attention must be brought to these atrocities so the Christians of Nigeria are better protected. I appreciate President Trump for helping draw".
Two days later, on November 5, 2025, Grothman addressed the federal government shutdown: "The Democrat shutdown has now become the longest government shutdown in our nation’s history. Families, workers, and our local communities are paying the price, yet Democrats continue to block reopening the government in pursuit of far-left policy proposals. It’s time to stop".
Later that same day, he commented on an investigation in Wisconsin: "The 'Arctic Frost' investigation was never about justice, it was about politics. 38 Wisconsinites were swept into a probe simply for exercising their rights and holding conservative beliefs. We cannot allow our justice system to be weaponized against citizens for their".
Grothman's statements come as he continues his tenure representing Wisconsin in Congress. He has secured victories over opponents such as John Zarbano in 2024 with 61.2% of the vote and Jessica King in 2020 with nearly 60%, maintaining a strong electoral record since first winning office in 2014.
