As part of our ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at the Fond Du Lac Times have submitted a request for records under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq.
The requested information pertains to all payments made to vendors within the specified date range. Specifically, we have asked for details including the vendor name, transaction date, transaction description, and amount of each payment.
As journalists, access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. This includes holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. We believe that our role in disseminating information qualifies us for a fee waiver as media professionals.
