A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to the City of Horicon, Wisconsin on November 7, 2024. The request, made by us at Fond Du Lac Times, sought details about new voter registrations that took place on November 5, 2024.

The specific request was for a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024. We requested this information under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., and expressed a preference for receiving the data in an electronic format.
In line with our role in gathering and reporting news to the public, we also requested a fee waiver as a media professional.
