The City of Juneau has announced its schedule for cemetery cleanup this fall. The city will clear the cemetery grounds of decorations twice a year, with the upcoming fall cleanup set to begin on November 14, 2025.
Families are advised to remove any decorations they wish to keep at least one week before the scheduled cleanup date. According to the announcement, "In order for families to save any decorations placed on a grave, the decorations should be removed one week prior to this date. New decorations may be placed beginning November 21, 2025."
This biannual process is intended to maintain the appearance and upkeep of the cemetery grounds.
