Congressman Glenn Grothman of Wisconsin has expressed his support for President-Elect Donald Trump's plan to impose tariffs on Mexico, Canada, and China. The proposed economic measures aim to address concerns about border security and drug trafficking into the United States.

Grothman stated, "I fully support President-Elect Trump's proposed aggressive economic measures against Mexico, Canada, and China, driven by serious concerns over our border security and the rampant drug trafficking that has plagued our nation." He criticized the current administration's policies, claiming they have led to increased drug-related deaths and violent crimes.

He added that "under the Biden-Harris Administration, other countries have exploited our open borders," resulting in significant challenges for the U.S., including a high number of drug overdoses. Grothman believes that Trump's leadership could restore safety and sovereignty in America.

According to Grothman, "these proposed tariffs will not only hold these countries accountable but also strengthen the U.S. economy by ensuring that our borders are secure, and our communities are protected." He emphasized the importance of taking strong actions to reduce crime and safeguard American culture.

Grothman is currently serving his fifth term representing Wisconsin’s 6th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
