Rep. Glenn Grothman highlights local events and historical reflection on March 29

Rep. Glenn Grothman, currently serving in the U.S. Congress for Wisconsin’s 6th District, shared a couple of engaging public activities and reflections on his social media account recently. A former Wisconsin State Assembly and Senate member, Grothman has been in office since 2015, following the departure of Tom Petri. The seasoned congressman is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

On March 29, 2025, Grothman tweeted about a community event at St. Matthew Catholic Church & School in Campbellsport. In his tweet, dated March 29, 2025, he expressed, "A fantastic fish 'fry day' night surrounded by the local community at St. Matthew Catholic Church & School in Campbellsport! Thanks for having me!"

Later in the day, Grothman commemorated a significant date in U.S. history. He wrote, "On March 29, 1973, the last U.S. combat troops departed Vietnam, marking the end of American involvement in one of our nation’s longest conflicts. In 2017, President Trump signed into law the designation of March 29 as #NationalVietnamWarVeteransDay, a day set aside each year to..." This tweet marked a tribute to the importance of National Vietnam War Veterans Day.

Grothman also took part in a local event involving foods, tweeting on the same day about his enjoyment at a gathering in Brandon, WI. His message read, "Had a blast at Pillar & Vine in Brandon, WI! Thanks to Brandon Meats & Sausage for providing delicious fresh meats, and award-winning sausages at our local Brat Fry." This highlights his participation in local community events, emphasizing support for local businesses.
