Rep. Glenn Grothman, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Wisconsin’s 6th district since 2015, recently shared his thoughts on various topics through a series of tweets. These tweets provide insight into his perspectives on historical events, military oversight, and immigration policy.
On December 7, 2024, Rep. Grothman marked Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day by honoring those who lost their lives during the attack on December 7, 1941. He paid tribute to the sacrifices made by individuals who fought for the nation's freedom. "On #PearlHarborRemembranceDay, we honor the lives lost on December 7, 1941, and pay tribute to the brave sacrifices made by those who fought to protect our nation's freedom."
In a tweet dated December 9, 2024, Grothman addressed recent V-22 Osprey crashes that have led to grounding these aircrafts. He highlighted his ongoing commitment to investigating the Osprey program and holding the Department accountable through his work with an Oversight Subcommittee. "A few months ago, my Oversight Subcommittee held hearings on the recent V-22 Osprey crashes. While the Ospreys have been grounded, my work is far from over—I remain committed to investigating the Osprey program and holding the Department accountable!"
Later that day, Grothman expressed disappointment in Governor Evers' stance against removing illegal migrants. He criticized this position as politically motivated and anticipated changes once President Trump assumes office again. "It is disappointing to see Gov. Evers siding against the safety of Wisconsinites by opposing the removal of illegal migrants to score political points. I hope he reconsiders when President Trump is sworn into office and begins work to secure our border and country."
