Rep. Glenn Grothman, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Wisconsin’s 6th District, shared a series of tweets expressing his concerns and recognitions on various matters. Grothman succeeded Tom Petri in Congress in 2015, after serving in the Wisconsin State Assembly and the Wisconsin State Senate.
On May 2, Grothman condemned the recent acts of terrorism in Pahalgam, Kashmir, India. "I am horrified by the brutal acts of terrorism in Pahalgam, Kashmir, India. There is no justification for terrorism, and I unequivocally condemn these acts of violence." He expressed solidarity with India, stating, "I stand in solidarity with Prime Minister Modi and the Indian people as they grieve this tragedy."
Later that day, Grothman acknowledged National Military Appreciation Month, which takes place in May. He highlighted the importance of honoring military service members and their families. Grothman noted, "National Military Appreciation Month, observed throughout May, is a time to recognize and honor the unwavering dedication and service of our military members and their families both past and present."
On May 3, Grothman celebrated the artistic achievement of Lila Newton from Winneconne, who won first place in the Congressional Art Competition. He congratulated Lila on her accomplishment and detailed her artwork’s forthcoming display in a prominent location: "Congratulations to Lila Newton of Winneconne for winning first place in the Congressional Art Competition!"
Grothman has a longstanding career in public service, dating back to positions in the Wisconsin State Assembly and State Senate. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1955, he has lived a life dedicated to public service from Glenbeulah, after completing his education at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
