Rep. Glenn Grothman, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Wisconsin’s 6th district, shared his experiences and observations through a series of tweets over several days in May 2025.
On May 17, Rep. Grothman expressed his enjoyment of the First Annual Redbud Festival in Mequon, stating "Loved seeing the redbud trees in full bloom at Mequon's First Annual Redbud Festival! The event celebrated the Mequon-Thiensville Sunrise Rotary Club’s Redbud Project - an initiative that began in 2011 with a vision to bring springtime beauty to the Riverwalk and Town Center."
The following day, on May 18, he acknowledged National EMS Week by attending an event organized by the Oakfield Fire Department. He tweeted about his appreciation for their efforts: "What better way to kick off National EMS Week than by supporting the Oakfield Fire Department and enjoying great food, great company, and a fun cash raffle. Huge thanks to the Department for all that you do - it was an honor to be there!"
On May 19, Rep. Grothman shared his enthusiasm for meeting representatives from Burger Boat in Washington. He noted their historical significance and current contributions: "It was great to see the friendly faces of @burgerboat in Washington! Since 1863, Burger Boat has been building state-of-the-art marine vessels in Manitowoc. With shipbuilding on the rise under President Trump, I’m excited for #WI06 to help lead the way."
Glenn Grothman has served Wisconsin's 6th District since replacing Tom Petri in 2015. Before this role, he served in both the Wisconsin State Assembly and Senate. Born in Milwaukee and currently residing in Glenbeulah, Grothman holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
