Tax legislation efforts continue as Rep. Glenn Grothman addresses local and international concerns

Rep. Glenn Grothman, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Wisconsin's 6th district since 2015, has recently shared his thoughts on various issues through social media posts. Born in Milwaukee and residing in Glenbeulah, Grothman has a long history of public service, including previous roles in the Wisconsin State Assembly and Senate.

On May 20, 2025, Rep. Grothman expressed gratitude towards emergency medical services professionals during EMS Week. He stated, "During #EMSWeek, we honor the brave first responders who show up to save lives and protect our communities every day. To the EMS professionals in Wisconsin and nationwide, thank you for your courage and service."

In another post dated May 22, 2025, he conveyed his sorrow over a violent incident involving Israeli Embassy staff. Grothman wrote, "I’m heartbroken and disturbed by the brutal attack that took the lives of two Israeli Embassy staff last night. My prayers are with their families, Israel, and the Jewish community." He also highlighted concerns about rising antisemitism following recent attacks on Israel.

Later that day on May 22nd, Grothman discussed legislative efforts aimed at preventing significant tax increases. He mentioned "The One Big, Beautiful Bill Act is set to prevent the largest tax hike in American history." Emphasizing his commitment to constituents in Wisconsin’s 6th district—comprising families, small businesses & manufacturers—he added that these tax cuts have been extended by House Republicans to protect paychecks.

Glenn Grothman's academic background includes a BA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison earned in 1978 followed by a JD from the same institution five years later.
