Rep. Glenn Grothman, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Wisconsin’s 6th district, has shared several updates through his social media posts. These updates reflect both his personal engagements and community activities within his constituency.
On July 4, 2025, Rep. Grothman marked Independence Day with a message celebrating America's founding. He stated, "Happy 4th of July! Today, we celebrate the birth of America. On July 4th, 1776, the Declaration of Independence marked the beginning of our nation’s freedom - no longer under British rule, but united under the values of liberty, independence, and patriotism."
A few days later on July 7, he expressed appreciation for local businesses by attending Customer Appreciation Days at Community Bank of Portage. He noted in his post that he had "an incredible time celebrating Customer Appreciation Days at Community Bank of Portage - big thanks to @PortageWI for sponsoring! Their parking lot cookout was awesome." This event provided him an opportunity to connect with community members and support local enterprises.
Later that same day, Rep. Grothman attended the Marquette County Fair and shared his experience via social media. He remarked on the enjoyment he found at this traditional event: "There’s nothing quite like a classic Wisconsin county fair - and the Marquette County Fair did not disappoint!" His engagement highlighted both community spirit and agricultural heritage.
Glenn Grothman has served in Congress since replacing Tom Petri in 2015 and previously held positions in both the Wisconsin State Assembly and Senate. Born in Milwaukee in 1955, he now resides in Glenbeulah.
