Watertown Regional Medical Center welcomes new surgeon Dr. Michael McGauley

Watertown Regional Medical Center has announced the addition of Dr. Michael McGauley to its General Surgery Clinic. Dr. McGauley, a board-certified surgeon, brings his expertise from Wisconsin and Michigan to Watertown, Wisconsin.

Dr. McGauley is recognized for his patient-centered approach and commitment to evidence-based care. He ensures that patients are informed and supported throughout their surgical journey. His specialties include hernia repairs, gallbladder removal, colonoscopies, appendix removal, hemorrhoid treatment, skin cancer removal, and thyroid surgery. He is proficient in both traditional and minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopic and robotic surgery.

"We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. McGauley to our General Surgery team," said Gina Novotny, Executive Director of Physician Services at Watertown Regional Medical Center. "His extensive experience, surgical skill, and dedication to patient-centered care will be a tremendous asset to both our team and our patients."

Dr. McGauley joins other providers at the clinic including Dr. Garrett Fleming, Dr. Emily Stoddard, and Physician Assistant Lindsey Martens.

"I’m excited to join the team at Watertown Regional Medical Center," said Dr. Michael McGauley. "I look forward to working with patients and providing surgical care that’s compassionate, effective, and tailored to each person’s needs."

In his personal time, Dr. McGauley enjoys activities such as riding motorcycles and attending surgical conferences.

The medical center reminds individuals aged 45 or older about the importance of scheduling a colonoscopy for early detection of colorectal cancer.
