State Representative William Penterman (R-Hustisford) has expressed support for several legislative proposals in Wisconsin aimed at fiscal responsibility, preserving state traditions, and protecting consumer choice.

Assembly Bill 308 seeks to prohibit the use of taxpayer funds for health care services provided to individuals who are in the United States without legal status. The intent is to prioritize resources for citizens facing hardship within Wisconsin communities.

Another proposal, Assembly Bill 58, would limit the flags displayed on flagpoles or building exteriors of state and local government buildings to only the U.S. flag and the Wisconsin state flag. “This ensures government buildings remain places of unity, not political division, by only displaying the U.S. and Wisconsin flags,” said Rep. Penterman.

Assembly Bill 161 would prevent state agencies and local governments from restricting which devices can be used or sold based on their energy source. “AB 161 safeguards consumer choice and prevents government overreach,” said Rep. Penterman. This bill aims to protect Wisconsinites’ ability to select devices according to their needs rather than regulatory requirements.

Rep. Penterman emphasized his commitment to advancing legislation that supports values such as fiscal prudence, unity, and individual freedom within Wisconsin.

Penterman was elected as a Republican representative in 2025 for Wisconsin’s 38th House district, succeeding Barbara Dittrich (https://www.wisconsin.gov).

The 38th Assembly District covers parts of Dodge and Jefferson counties.
