Envision Greater Fond du Lac has introduced its first business accelerator program, IGNITE Rural, targeting solopreneurs in Waupun and across Fond du Lac County. The initiative is managed by IGNITE Small Business & Startup Success, a program under Envision Greater Fond du Lac.

IGNITE Rural will run for five weeks and provide participants with workshops led by Envision Greater Fond du Lac. The businesses involved represent various sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, professional services, ecommerce, and retail. At the conclusion of the program, each participant will present their business proposal to a panel of judges.

The final pitch event is open to the public and will take place on November 6, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Waupun High School Auditorium (LGI Room). The top business will receive a $30,000 investment prize while second place will be awarded $20,000.

The ten businesses selected for the inaugural cohort are Last Mile Parts LLC; Into The Woods Wellness; Kartechner & Girls Flower Co.; Halbur’s Heavenly Hill; Rewired Dynamics; Agile 3D Solutions LLC; 151.salon; Salchert Meats; Stone House Digital; and Airy Point Farms, LLC.

Funding for the accelerator awards comes from grants provided by Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) in partnership with Envision Greater Fond du Lac.

"Congratulations to the IGNITE Rural 2025 Cohort!"
