Representative William Penterman (R–Hustisford) has authored Assembly Joint Resolution 25, which has passed both chambers of the Wisconsin Legislature. The resolution designates April 24, 2025 as Holocaust Remembrance Day and sets April 27 to May 4, 2025 as Holocaust Days of Remembrance in the state.
“As we mark 80 years since the liberation of the concentration camps, it is more important than ever to remember the horrors of the Holocaust and stand against antisemitism in all its forms,” said Rep. Penterman. “We must never forget what happened, and we must ensure future generations learn more from this dark time in history.”
Penterman was elected to the Wisconsin State House in 2025 as a Republican representative for the state's 38th House district, succeeding Barbara Dittrich.
