U.S. Representative Glenn Grothman, who has consistently won re-election in Wisconsin's 6th congressional district since 2014, addressed ongoing political issues and international events in a series of posts on his social media account.

On October 6, 2025, Grothman commented on the federal government shutdown, stating, "It’s Day 6 of the Democrat shutdown. House Republicans did our jobs to keep the government open, but Democrats continue to prioritize healthcare for illegal immigrants over the American people. They claim we’re lying, but see for yourself — this is what they're trying to https://t.co/dFoOvysAKg".

The following day, marking the anniversary of a significant event in Israel, Grothman wrote on October 7, 2025: "Two years ago, on October 7th, the world witnessed a horrific, unprovoked attack by Hamas terrorists who brutally took the lives of over 1,200 innocent men, women, and children in Israel. This was the deadliest attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust. We continue to pray https://t.co/Jznabntd5z".

Later that same day, he reiterated his stance regarding the government shutdown and its impact on constituents: "Every day the Democrat shutdown continues, Wisconsin families pay the price. It’s time for Democrats to stop the games and do their job. Once again, I voted for the bill to keep the government open, which passed the House on September 19. https://t.co/xNzhTGxYUr".

Glenn Grothman has maintained his seat in Congress through multiple election cycles. In recent elections he defeated John Zarbano in 2024 with more than 61% of the vote; previous victories include wins against Jessica King in 2020 (59.2%), Dan Kohl in 2018 (55.5%), Sarah Lloyd in 2016 (57.2%), and Mark L. Harris in 2014 (56.8%).
