Envision Greater Fond du Lac’s Leadership Fond du Lac County Alumni will hold the Empty Bowls event on December 3, 2025. The event is scheduled at Avenue 795 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., offering both dine-in and take-out options for guests.

Empty Bowls began in 2002 as an effort to address hunger locally and globally. Its purpose is to raise awareness about hunger, highlight the importance of art education and its role in social responsibility, and bring the community together to support local food pantries and shelters through fundraising.

“Empty Bowls is a community-wide event dedicated to raising both awareness and vital funds for our local food pantries,” said Tracy Qualmann, Leadership alumnus ’02 and member of the 2024 Empty Bowls Planning Committee. “Beyond its strong social justice mission, the event offers guests the chance to enjoy six delicious soups, along with fresh bakery and desserts from some of our community’s favorite local restaurants.”

Participants can choose to eat at Avenue 795 or opt for take-out service at 12:30 p.m., which must be pre-ordered. Every ticket includes six varieties of soup provided by several area restaurants—Mr. & Mrs. P’s, Mr. & Mrs. Catering, Sully’s, Whispering Springs, Backyard Bar & Grill—and one more yet to be announced. Bakery items, dessert, water or milk are also included.

Attendees may purchase raffle basket tickets during the event. Ticket holders have the option to take home a handmade bowl (subject to availability) or an aluminum spoon ornament donated by AL-INS Enterprises.

Tickets cost $18 each and are available starting November 1 online at envisiongreaterfdl.com under the events tab, by phone at 920.921.9500, or in person at Envision Greater Fond du Lac's office on Main Street during business hours; tickets can also be purchased at the door using cash or credit card. Take-out orders require advance purchase.
