An election is scheduled to take place in the City of Juneau on April 7, 2026. Voters will select candidates for several municipal offices, including mayor and alderpersons representing three districts. The terms for those elected as alderpersons will begin on April 21, 2026, and each term will last two years.
The current officeholders whose positions are up for election are Mayor Dan Wegener, Alderperson Richard Evans (District #1), Alderperson Jane Fude (District #2), and Alderperson James Ronge (District #3).

According to the notice: "NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that an election to be held in the City of Juneau, on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026, the following offices are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents listed. The term for alderperson begins on Tuesday, April 21st, 2026. All terms are for two years unless otherwise indicated."
The process for nomination begins on December 1, 2025. Nomination papers must be filed with the city clerk by January 6, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. If a primary is required due to multiple candidates seeking the same office, it will occur on February 17, 2026.
The notice also states: "Acceptable Photo ID will be required to vote at this election. If you do not have a photo ID you may obtain a free ID for voting from the Division of Motor Vehicles."
