The Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership is proud to announce dates for all events in 2023.
The Downtown Fond du Lac Saturday Farmers Market season will open on Saturday, May 20 and continue through October 28. The Market offers a wide variety of vendors selling the freshest Wisconsin-grown produce, plants, flowers, baked goods, meats, and cheese. Ready to eat foods, crafts, arts, pottery, and hand-made products are also available.
The Market will take place on Main Street from Forest Avenue to Western Avenue from 8:00 a.m. to Noon. Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Overnight parking is restricted on Main Street from May through October. The Farmer’s Market is a pet-friendly market. All pets must be leashed (6ft. or less) and under human control at all times.
The Fond du Lac Farmers Market accepts EBT/Wisconsin SNAP benefits. Stop at the Information Booth located on the corner of Main Street and 2nd Street. Simply swipe your EBT Benefits card to receive Market Bucks which can be used with some vendors at the Market. Additionally, many of our vendors accept WIC Farmers Market Vouchers as well. All vendors who accept WIC or EBT will have a sign posted at their vendor booth.
Returning for the third season, the Downtown Fond du Lac Thursday Night Market will be held on five nights in June through August (June 29, July 13, July 27, August 10 & August 24). Main Street will be closed between Division Street to Forest Avenue including Sheboygan Street up to Portland Street from
3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The Night Market is from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Night Market is a vibrant, open-air street market dedicated to leisurely strolling, shopping, and eating. The Night Market is a unique, inclusive, family-friendly event where attendees can expect to find prepared foods, local artist, live music, and fresh produce. Kids can enjoy playing with the outdoor games that will be available. Enjoy the Night Market before you stroll down to Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts – ’13 Thursdays of Summer’ concert series.
The 16th Annual Fondue Fest will be held on Saturday, September 9, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Main Street will be closed from Merrill Avenue to Western Avenue beginning at 6:00 a.m. The Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership (DFP) will host two music stages, Kids Zone and of course cheese and chocolate Fondue provided by Moraine Park Technical College Culinary Arts Program.
Vendor applications, policies, and rules and regulations for the Farmers Market, Night Market and Fondue Fest will be available at www.downtownfdl.com in early February.
Additionally, the St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl is happening on Saturday, March 11, 2023, following the 95 & 96.1 The Rock St. Patrick’s Day Parade at 3:00 p.m. The parade will step off on the corner of Rees Street and Main Street and end at Veteran’s Park. The Winter Market, located at 16 E. Second, will continue through February 25 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. New in 2023 is a Downtown Soup Walk happening on Saturday, January 21 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available now at www.downtownfdl.com/soup-walk.
To celebrate Sturgeon Spectacular, the DFP is hosting the 14th Annual Chili Crawl and their first Sweet Stroll on Saturday, February 11. Both events will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available now at www.downtownfdl.com/chili-crawl or www.downtownfdl.com/sweet-stroll.
The DFP will also host an Easter Egg Walk on April 1, Spring Beer & Seltzer Crawl on April 15, Summer Wine Walk on June 16, Fall Beer & Seltzer Crawl on August 18, Witches Day Out on October 21, Monster March Trick-or-Treat on October 28, Holiday Kickoff Weekend November 3-4, Holiday Wine Walk on November 11, Deer Camp Weekend November 17-18, Small Business Saturday on November 25, and a Christmas Cookie Walk on December 2.
