Whether driven by COVID, impacts on national figures, or greater focus in general, the impact of mental health in workplace is gaining more legal attention and challenging HR professionals on a more regular basis.  Issues from hiring, to leaves of absence to reasonable accommodation can present unique challenges when the basis for such issues involves a mental illness.  This program will provide a legal analysis to those challenges and suggest best practices for addressing them.

Gain a better understanding of addressing hiring issues associated with mental illness.

Gain a better understanding of addressing leave of absence requests associated with mental illness.

Gain a better understanding of addressing requests for accommodation associated with mental illness.

This event is free to attend, but registration is encouraged.

Presenter, James R. Macy. Jim has represented employers in all aspects of employment law issues.  He represented Oshkosh Corporation in collective bargaining with the UAW resulting an agreement paving the way to gain the $3 billion military contract.  He represented the City of Wauwatosa in addressing the employment issues regarding a police officer involved in the weapons related deaths.  He litigated the first state Faragher case addressing an employer’s liability for a manager’s discriminatory conduct.  He speaks regularly at state and national conferences regarding employment law issues.
