Wisconsin Congressional Delegation to Plant Sugar Maple Tree at U.S. Capitol
Congressman Glenn Grothman (R-Glenbeulah), Bryan Steil and the Wisconsin Congressional Delegation will be hosting a ceremony to plant a Sugar Maple tree, Wisconsin’s state tree, in honor of the state of Wisconsin on U.S. Capitol Grounds. The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024 at 10:30 am ET in Washington, DC.
U.S. Rep. Glenn Grothman, who is serving his fifth term representing Wisconsin’s 6th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, will be leading the event.
The media advisory states that all press who wish to attend the Wisconsin Congressional Delegation Tree Planting Ceremony should RSVP to Noelle Young at Noelle.Young@mail.house.gov to receive the exact location for the tree planting ceremony. Additionally, it is noted that all media must be set up for a U.S. Capitol Police sweep by 9:30 am EST.
This event is a symbolic gesture to pay tribute to the state of Wisconsin by planting its state tree on the grounds of the U.S. Capitol.
