Envision Greater Fond du Lac recently organized a ribbon-cutting event at Salchert Meats to mark the opening of their new retail space and business expansion. The event highlighted the growth of this family-operated business, which traces its roots back to the early 1900s.

In January 2019, Jeff and Katie Fuhrmann, along with Chris Greuel, acquired Salchert Meats with enthusiasm to return to their family's meat industry origins. They aim to be a vital part of the community while instilling a sense of purpose and responsibility in their children.

Katie Fuhrmann, co-owner, stated, “Since 1928 Salchert Meats has been committed to continuing to produce high quality products that Salchert is known for.” She added that the team is eager to uphold the tradition established before their ownership and looks forward to future prospects.

Salchert Meats operates as a full-service meat market offering custom slaughtering, premium meat cuts, and an extensive range of cured and smoked meats and sausages crafted from family recipes.

The store is located at 1200 Main Street in St. Cloud, Wisconsin. More information about their online store, custom processing services, wild game processing options, and special products can be found on their website.
