The communities of Waupun, Ripon, North Fond du Lac, and Campbellsport have launched a new initiative to support local business growth and innovation. In collaboration with Envision Greater Fond du Lac, they announced the WRNC Business Opportunity Fund. The fund's aim is to enhance economic vitality in the region by providing low-interest loans to support startups and business expansions.

The WRNC Opportunity Fund, backed by a competitive grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, offers flexible financing options. These include loans for business expansion, new equipment, working capital, or startup costs. The fund promises competitive rates and terms as well as quick, local decision-making to assist applicants efficiently.

City and village administrators from the four communities, Kathy Schlieve of Waupun, Adam Sonntag of Ripon, Nick Leonard of North Fond du Lac, and Charlie Kudy of Campbellsport, have played pivotal roles in this initiative. By pooling their resources and expertise, they aim to create new opportunities for business development, job creation, and a stronger economic future for their communities.

Businesses interested in the fund can find more information by visiting the Envision Greater Fond du Lac website or contacting Raina Lyman at 920.921.9500.

“‘This fund represents our collective commitment to our local entrepreneurs and business owners,’” stated Sadie Howell, President/CEO of Envision Greater Fond du Lac. “'We are not just providing financial support — we’re building a foundation for long-term success and community prosperity.'”
