The Fond du Lac (FDL) SHRM chapter has been recognized with the 2024 Silver Excel Award by SHRM for its outstanding contributions in 2024. This accolade acknowledges the chapter's strategic initiatives and innovative programming aimed at advancing the human resources profession and enhancing workplaces in the region.

The Excel Award is presented at various levels, including Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum, as a mark of excellence in leadership within chapters and state councils. The award highlights activities that align with SHRM’s mission to empower individuals and workplaces through improved HR practices.

“SHRM’s impact on the world of work is made possible by the dedication and leadership of our chapters and state councils,” stated Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., SHRM-SCP, president and CEO of SHRM. “The Silver Excel Award is not only a celebration of the great work done by the FDL SHRM chapter but also recognition of their focus, innovation, and determination to create better workplaces. Their HR leadership is truly exemplary.”

With this recognition, FDL SHRM will gain national exposure through SHRM publications and events. They will also receive an official award logo for communication purposes and tools to help share this achievement with members and the community.

In 2024, FDL SHRM undertook several key initiatives such as revising its by-laws, forming a Student Relations and Membership Committee, and collaborating with local groups like the FDL Safety Council and Young Professionals of FDL. These efforts continue to support HR professionals' growth across Wisconsin.
