Envision Greater Fond du Lac is accepting registrations for the third cohort of its Public Office Preparation 101 (POP101) program. The 2025 sessions are scheduled for November 5, 2025, and November 12, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Participants must attend both sessions.
The POP101 program is designed to help community members engage in local nonpartisan political processes by providing information and skills necessary for public office. Topics covered include navigating paperwork, fundraising and spending, campaigning, and building a public persona.
The sessions will feature former state representatives and other experienced speakers who will address issues relevant to running for office in Fond du Lac County. The program encourages anyone interested in civic service to register.

The Public Office Preparation program provides the tools necessary to help candidates take a step toward starting a campaign in Fond du Lac County, whether it’s for a city or town council position or school board.”
Attendees will learn about building a campaign team, developing a platform, understanding paperwork requirements in Fond du Lac County, and creating fundraising strategies. They will also gain insights into what happens after being elected.
